Picture Histogram Generator
Picture Histogram Generator is a simple tool that generates histograms by automatically finding edges in your images. It supports a wide variety of formats, including TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PICT, and PCX.
Picture Histogram Generator Features:
* Generate histograms for local and global settings – global settings means the same histograms on all the frames of an animation, local settings means that you can generate one histogram per frame in an animation or for all the frames in one image.
* Generate 8, 12, 16 and 24 bit histograms per channel (greyscale and RGB)
* For each channel the histogram can be divided into 4 quadrants so that you can determine the different ranges.
* Generate the histogram using 4 or 8 or 16 or 24 bins in each channel (each can be in either RGBCMY or RGBAY order)
* Fixed Histogram Size feature allows you to set the size of each histogram bin so that you can generate histograms with a specific number of bins.
* Color Space allows you to select between SRGB and RGB Color Spaces.
* You can adjust the balance between the histogram’s dynamic range and saturation by the Percentile Values.
* You can enable/disable the Histogram’s Saturation, Highlight, and Labels Sliders.
* You can adjust the Histogram’s Saturation, Highlight, and Labels Saturation by the Percentile Values.
* Color intensity lets you set the intensity (brightness) for each color from 0 to 255.
* You can adjust the Histogram’s Saturation, Highlight, and Labels Saturation by the Color Intensity Slider.
* The Treshold slider allows you to set a threshold point and the tool will try to find a value inside that range so that you can extract the Highlight (Highlight’s value is greater than Treshold and you can mark this range with the Highlight slider).
* The Image Display option allows you to set the image size for each generated image.
* You can save the generated histograms and the original image so that you can change one of them.
* The File Management option allows you to save the generated histograms on your computer as TIFF, PNG, BMP, GIF, JPEG, PICT, PCX or TGA formats.
* You can enable or disable each feature by clicking on the corresponding button on the toolbar.

This is an experimental version of my DS2 program. I spent many hours converting the original DS1 code to VB. It now generates music which plays through Windows Media Player. I think it’s very fun and gives DS2 a new dimension. For example, you can alter the tempo of a song. If you want to play a song at the default tempo press the ‘Test’ button. If you want the music to play at a faster speed, just press the ‘Quick’ button. It’s easy to use, and it is not the fastest DS, but it works fine for me.

Installation:
Picture Histogram Generator requires the Windows Installer 3.0 or higher. To install the application in an easier way we’ve also prepared an archive. You can download the archive file PictureHistogram_setup.zip from the download page.
